"Sometimes good, mostly awful..."

Didsbury West is a lovely, quiet area with a real sense of community, nice shops and lots of green spaces. So I will grant A & Y Properties one star for locating all their properties there. The building A & Y Properties own and rent out is just a stone's throw away from a really good deli and the quaint Burton Road, which is a plus point.

We rented from A & Y Properties in 2010/11 and we had quite a few problems with the flat we rented, including a bad damp problem, very inconsiderate neighbours in the flat above and no soundproofing, a cold tap in the kitchen that never worked, and the owner of A & Y Properties turning up unannounced on several occasions and demanding access to the flat. When we reported issues to A & Y Properties we had to badger them into doing something about them, which was frustrating. The flat was an okay size, if a little cramped and basic (and grim when we moved in ~ very dirty), and the rent was pretty reasonable. A mixed bag really..
