"Only the Best Foods Available in the World!"

Hi, I’m Rog and I work in the office here at The Game Larder. We are part of a national company, Ritter Courivaud Ltd. http://www.rittercourivaud.co.uk/

Ritter supply a lot of the famous chefs and the best restaurants in the land. We are very up-market and we complement suppliers like Brakes or 3663, we do not compete with them – we supply the top of the range, the very best you can get from anywhere in the world.

In Manchester we keep about 2000 products in stock, from pickles, chocolate couverture, squirrels, ostrich, Beluga, foie gras, tart cases, frozen Viennoiserie, ketchup – you get the idea. Our London depot can send us thousands more items overnight, to order. We also import weird stuff from France each Wednesday, to suit our customers (hence the squirrels - yeuk).

I’ll be putting up a Ritter Manchester website very soon and I’ll put a download-able product list on it if I’m allowed to. We do a lot more than is on that list and we can get you things that we don’t usually have. We really do burn rubber to serve our chefs and all our other customers!

PS We are also known as GLM Foods, Cherifood, WG White, FIFI (food ingredients for industry). Ritter have seven or eight depots around the UK. We don’t have a depot in Scotland but we supply to Clarks Foods in Edinburgh who can usually help. http://www.clarksfoods.co.uk/

Mr Ritter and Mr Courivaud started the company in 1929 I think. Their aim was to supply the top restaurants in London with the very best products from France and around the world. The company is still privately-owned by Ian, the big boss who works in the big London depot - HQ.
