"I was at Glendene myself aprox 1986 (Jeffrey Parry) "

Hi there i was sent to Glendene myself around 1986 for about 6 months, i was in green unit with one staff i am sure was called Dave. i remember meeting my one of my first GF there called Amanda Fox, and there was also another Amanda there who was half cast ( if terms have changed to say someone of that colour i apologise) there were many kids i remember from red group and green group.. i remember the rec room that had pool tables and also outside having a basketball net, the place was pretty run down by then, i atended the school connected to it and the lessons were crazy, doing almost nothing useful and especially no standard school curiculum stuff. I was there due to fighting at school and my mum not being able to cope with 3 kids after her divorce, i was about 10yrs old and the oldest so off i went. I went on to Buglawton Hall School after that for the remainder of my school life (6 yrs)Which was in Congleton, Cheshire and a 400 yr old mansion. i am happy to say in all my time in care i was lucky to see no abuse ( except some over the top vilence or loss of temper by staff or kids) but nothign to raise an eyebrow at.. i Then joined the ARMY and after a couple of years settled down mainly in Manchester to start a family. I now have been in canada for 10 years with more children here and i plan to stay here in the future. i found this site while just thinkng and looking at my past as i research my family tree ( again) :-) i am on FaceBook ( jeffrey parry.... living in Ile perrot, Quebec, Canada 2012 and should still be ) would love to hear from anyone who was there when i was.. i remember so many names and faces but not fully.. getting too old now lol (37) well i hope this obscure message finds some other lookign for links to their pasts and we get to chat... all the best ..
