I started school in 1946 and left in 1952 my teachers included Miss Alston, Miss Jackson, Miss Hunter and Mr Chandler, Percy as he was known to us pupils. He was strict but fair and taught us a lot about arithmetic etc. which helped a lot in later life. The head teacher at that time was Mr Platt.
